Places of Interest
There are many places of interest in Denver. One example is the state capitol. It was built on 10 acres of land, and took 22 years to make! To show what Colorado had to offer, they built it mainly of materials from the state. They have tours half-hourly. The Botanic Gardens are a good place to go if you are getting tired of the city. From grasses to vegetables to water lilies- you name it they probably have it. They have gazebos, arboretums, and fountains. It's only four dollars to get in too! Colorado's ocean journey is a new aquarium, just built in 1999. It has over 15,000 animals. From funny fish, to odd otters there are five recreated environments. Sounds fun! There are more too! So many I couldn't possibly write them all down. I'm sure you get the point. |
Language, Government, and Money
Well obviously most people know these things, so I combined them all. The main language is English. If you didn't know that, conk yourself on the head... HARD. They have US currency. You know, pennies, nickels, quarters, and dimes. Dollar bills. If you didn't know that, do the same...now! There is a mint (coin making place) located in Denver. Just a fun fact. Denver is in the United States, so it is a democracy. Another head whacker. Peoples rights are respected. It is a free country. Why do I have to do this then? Oh well, it is fun. Ah sweet, sweet boredom. I was tired, it was late, and I was completly bored, so I said making some paragraph was fun. It was kinda funny though...

Bibliography
I got most my information from the Colorado Handbook. It's by Stephen Metzger, and I checked it out of the Toledo-Lucas County library. The map is courtesy of the University of Texas Library online. What map do you ask? Unfortunatly that knoledge has been lost in time. Wait! I think it used to be in the text, but somthing messed up, and it wasn't a link anymore, so I got rid of it. Oh well.
